Why do people have to turn everything into a sexual pairing obsession.

Tv shows, childrens books, movies,

its come to a point now where its just.. so expected. With everything. Have a favorite tv show? Oh here give me a few minutes I can probably find some gross shipping or porn to ruin it for you. I feellike is hard for me to enjoy the characters and shows I like. Now watching them, but when I go to search fanart, ( because lets  be honest.. some of it is incredible!) You can't go searching without finding some means of porn or incest or sex. I no longer like to include myself in fandms, because the fans are just so rabid with their fantasies and make it really unenjoyable for me. Ie; Homestuck. I've been slowly reading homestuck, but seeing the crazy fanbase is slowly holding me back from reading it. Even now with the lorax, seeing all the porn of onceler paired with the lorax and other characters.. people talking about how sexy he is its just... what??  Its a childrens book!

I'm all for being obsessed with a character or certain movie, book, show, etc cause I do it myself quite often, especially with supernatural. but why do you have to pair all of the characters into these impossible relationships and make them have sex with eachother? Or draw seductive pin ups of ponies with bondage? Its just.. disgusting. And it just frustrates me how it only takes a new tv show or book less than a week before people start doing all of this. Especially when its a cartoon directed at the younger audience.
